Great idea, Jonathan! We can definitely talk about implementing this into camp this summer.

Some of the other perks of ePACT are:

  • You can access information from an iPad; you can access information even when you're not in one of our facilities. You don't even need WiFi access as long as you've updated your account prior to the class.
  • Supervisors have control who is able to see participant information. Instructors can only see information from the class they are teaching, and it's password protected. It's quick and easy to give and removed access to instructors. This makes it HIPAA complaint.
  • You have a photo of the child in the electronic form. This helps us identify children with allergies and properly identify individuals if they had a medical emergency and were new to your program.
  • You can also communicate with parents through ePACT. It will populate group emails in the even you need to send out communication away from your desk. Kid's Connection has used this when we have a bus that is running late from a field trip to let parent's know our new arrival time. These communications can be sent via email and text. Parents do have to opt in for the texts, but not the email. These email are professional and have the OPD logo on them.
  • ePACT also has a roll call option. You can send out a message and request that the recipient respond that they received it.  We haven't used it at Kid's Connection, but I could see it be useful if for sports; perhaps if you had kids dropped off for practice and had to cancel due to lightening?

ePACT has worked really well for Kid's Connection and Preschool.  Let us know if you have any questions.
